"Point-like" neutron source based on D-D fusion reaction

Description
This paper presents the results of a "point-like" neutron source development based on the D-D fusion reaction that occurs when a focused deuterium ion beam hits deuterium-containing target. The obtained neutron yield from 1 mm emitting region reached values 1010 s−1 at ion beam current value 60 mA and its energy 80 keV. (paper)
