Scintillating plastic fibres for calorimetry and tracking devices
Description
In addition to the well known properties of scintillators, scintillating fibres developed by Saclay offer fine grain spatial resolution over distances of several meters. They can be used for calorimetry and tracking measurements. Both applications have been successfully investigated. Results of beam tests of various prototypes are presented
