Error analysis of the track fit on the Riemann sphere

Description
We present in this paper a derivation of the covariance matrix of the estimated track parameters given by the Riemann sphere track fitting method. Results of a simulation experiment from the ATLAS Transition Radiation Tracker show that the covariance matrix presented herein very well reflects the actual spread of the track parameters
