The non-linear optical excitation and detection of the plasmon in two-dimensional electron gas

Description

The theoretical calculation indicates that one can use the non-linear difference-frequency mixing of two infrared beams to excite and detect the plasmon in the inversion layer without grating structure. The numerical estimation shows that the detection has enough sensitivity. (author)
