Industrial structure for nuclear power. Issues arising
Description
Nuclear power plant construction and present nuclear industry in OECD countries is overviewed. Perspectives for nuclear power are analyzed using data of the World Energy Council. Evolution of installed capacity and annual construction rate of NPPs in OECD countries is presented. The impacts on the NPPs construction industry of several recent factors are assessed. Importance of competitiveness and generation costs are considered, and general future trends are predicted. (R.P.)
