Measurement of post-irradiation population kinetics using single-cell cytophotometry combined with double-labeling autoradiography

Description
A technique for in vivo determination of the population kinetics in tumors following irradiation is reported in this paper. Using the model of a diploid Ehrlich adcites tumor, the migration of cells from different subpopulations was followed up through the generation cycle. The measurability of post-irradiation growth kinetics in different subpopulations is emphasized with regard to its importance for practical application with combination treatments or possibility for the problem of dose-time relations. The individual results obtained after 475 rd are presented in detail. (orig.)
Abstract (German)
In der vorliegenden Arbeit wird ueber ein Verfahren zur in-vivo-Bestimmung der Populationskinetik von Tumoren nach Bestrahlung berichtet. An dem Modell eines diploiden Ehrlich-Aszites-Tumors wurde die Wanderung von Zellen verschiedener Subpopulationen durch den Generationszyklus verfolgt. Es wird auf die Bedeutung der Messbarkeit der Wachstumskinetik verschiedener Subpopulationen nach Bestrahlung im Hinblick auf eine praktische Anwendung durch Kombinationsbehandlungen bzw. eine moegliche Bedeutung fuer das Dosis-Zeit-Problem hingewiesen. Die einzelnen nach 475 rd erhaltenen Ergebnisse werden ausfuehrlich dargestellt. (orig.)Additional details
