Westinghouse fuel, from 2000 to 2010
- 1. Temelin nuclear power plant, Temelin (Czech Republic)
Description
The process of replacement of the initially planned Russian fuel with the advanced Westinghouse fuel at the Temelin NPP is described in detail. Owing to the new fuel system and the VVER-1000 reactor core control method, compatibility has been achieved with the upgraded I and C system. The changes have been made with a view to improving the fuel cycle economy and control patterns. (orig.)
