Description

In order to evaluate core characteristics of fast reactors, a computer code system ARCADIA has been developed by utilizing the established analysis codes and the latest nuclear data library JENDL-3.3. The validity of ARCADIA was verified by using the FCA (Fast Critical Assembly) experimental data and the ZPPR-9 core benchmark. For confirming the applicability to FBR, ARCADIA was applied to analyze the experimental data obtained in the Monju core physics tests in 1994. The results of analyses were in good agreement with the experimental data and the applicability of ARCADIA for fast reactor core analysis was confirmed. (authors)
