India builds Kamini reactor as neutron source
Description
The Kamini reactor (Kalpakkam mini) being built at the Indira Gandhi Centre, a U-233 aluminium alloy fuelled light water moderated, beryllium oxide reflected 30-kWth reactor, is due to go first critical in November. Essentially it is a neutron source mainly for neutron radiography after irradiation of fuel elements in the FBTR, Kalpakkam. 1 fig., 1 tab
