Some aspects of inner shell phenomena for the ions in a plasma

Creators

Description

The highly charged ions considered in this paper consist of outer shell stripped atoms which normally appear in a high temperature medium such as that in astrophysical matter or plasma for thermonuclear fusion. The processes occurring in plasmas from immersion of atomic systems in an electron gas are considered. Dielectric recombination, the inverse of autoionization, is discussed along with photoabsorption measurements in the case of highly charged ions in a plasma
