Stability of Fe-Cr-Al alloys in nonisothermic Na stream

Description

Ferritic high-crhomium alloys of Fe-Cr-Al system with chromium content of 27-45 mass.% were considered. It is ascertained that ferritic alloys Kh27Yu5, Kh40Yu2, Kh45Yu4, possess a higher resistance against long-term corrosive action of high-temperature liquid sodium flow than conventionally used asutenitic steels. The oxide film formed on them protects the material from the action of coolant. The alloys are not prone to pitting and intercrytalline corrosion
