Influence of oxide impurity on the luminescence and scintillation properties of CaI2 crystals

Description
Photoluminescent, X-ray luminescent and scintillation properties of CaI2, CaI2-Ca(HO)2, CaI2-CaCO3 crystals have been studied. It has been demonstrated that oxygen-containing impurities worsen essentially the scintillation properties of calcium crystals. The luminescence nature is discussed
