Description

We have studied inclusive baryon (Σ+, Σ- and Δ++) production in the 405 GeV/c proton-proton interactions. The production cross-sections and the Feynmann variable X distributions of Σ+, Σ- and Δ++ are newly obtained. The shapes of Feynmann X distributions of Σ+ and Δ++ are found very similar to each other. The cross-section ratio of σ(Σ+), σΛ0 is found to be around 0.5. Similar values are also found over the wide energy range. The X distributions and the ratio of cross-sections are discussed in terms of the quark counting picture
