Description
We have analyzed spatial noise effects in the coolant channel of a pressurized water reactor by solving exactly the stochastic temperature evolution equation of a one-dimensional heat exchanger model. Different kinds of noise are considered and their effects are studied. These include the modification of the transport coefficients by the existence of multiplicative noise, the zero correlation length found in the equal time contribution of the internal noise and the existence of different correlation lengths associated with transport processes.
