Application of re-establishing dose-response curves by fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH)

Description
To establish a dose-response relationship between stable chromosome aberration and radiation dose by fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH). Translocation frequencies in peripheral blood lymphocytes induced by 60Co γ-ray at different doses were analyzed by FISH with WCP whole chromosome specific probes for human chromosomes No. 1, No. 2 and No. 4, and its dose-response curve was fitted. The dose-response formula fitted with translocation frequencies is Y=0.01316 + 0.07569D + 0.01583D2. After checked by unknown samples. The formula is certified that it could be used to reestablish dose. Chromosome translocation can be quickly analyzed by FISH and it is hopeful to use translocation frequencies measured by FISH as a dose-response curve reestablished biological dosimeter. (authors)
