Description
Objective: The objective of study is to provide scientific data for the most suitable protective depth of the individual protective article for the radio-interventional operators. Methods: The simulated conditions of radio-interventional operations were made, and the protective results of the lead rubber (of various depths) to the scattered radiation upon the main parts of the operators were then measured. Results: The results were satisfactory: the shield effect rate of the lead rubber (0.1, 0.2, 0.25, 0.35 mm lead equivalent respectively) to the head, chest, abdomen and the lower extremities was 84.4%-93.0%, 92.9%-97.0%, 94.2%-98.2% and 95.8%-98.5% respectively. Conclusion: It is suggested that the optimization values of the projective depths of different parts of the protective article were 0.25-0.30 mm lead equivalent for the front part of the protective clothe, 0.1-0.15 mm lead equivalent for the back of the clothe; 0.25-0.30 mm lead equivalent for the front part of the protective clothe, 0.1-0.15 mm lead equivalent for the back of the clothe; 0.25 and 0.1 mm lead equivalent for the brim and top of the protective hat respectively; and 0.25-0.30 mm lead equivalent for the protective glasses and the protective mask
