Thermoelectric properties of lanthanum sulfides

Description
Temperature dependences of electric conductivity, thermo-e.m.f. and thermal conductivity of lanthanum sulfides in the La2S3-La3S4 system in the 300-1300 K temperature range are investigated; vacancy concentration in lanthanum cationic sublattice is shown to affect values of these properties. Non-metal-metal transition by Motty is discovered in samples the composition of which falls within the a narrow range of phase homogeneity. Thermoelectric efficiency of lanthanum sulfides is evaluated
