Effect of microstructure on certain properties of ceramics of Y-Ba-Cu-O system

Description
An attempt was made to reveal the effect of density and microstructure (MCS) on the critical temperature and width of the region YBa2Cu3Ox ceramics transition to superconducting state. Density and MCS were varied by changing conditions of powder pressure sintering. It was established that density increase from 5.21 up to 6.03 g/cm3 didn't lead to growth of the critical temperature. It was also shown that width of transition region for singles-phase samples, which is less than one degree, was realized in cases, when microstructure elements were presented by large crystallites with pronounced cut
