Evaluation of transannular interaction in germatranes in the gas phase by mass spectrometry

Description
The authors formulated earlier the criteria for the evaluation of transannular interaction in silatranes in the gas phase on the basis of mass-spectrometric data and came to the conclusion that in the gas phase silatranes also have an A-type structure. The purpose of this work was to study the mass spectra of a wide variety of germatranes differing in the nature of the substituent X in the position 1 and to analyze these spectra on the basis of the criteria formulated earlier
