Electroweak phenomenology in composite models

  • 1. Max Planck Inst., Munich

Description

We review the phenomenology of electroweak theories based on composite leptons and quarks. In particular, we concentrate on a concept of compositeness, in which the short range weak interaction between leptons and quarks is treated in close analogy to the short range strong interaction between hadrons. The standard neutral current structure as well as the standard boson mass relations appear as dynamical low energy approximations based on Wdominance without invoking SU(2)/sub I/ x U(1)/sub Y/ symmetry at short distances
