Environmental pollution studies in Vietnam based on analysis of atmospheric aerosols and sediments by NAA and AAS

  • 1. DALAT Nuclear Research Inst., Dinh Tien Hoang Dalat (Viet Nam)

Description

By setting up sampling stations in HoChiMinh City and Dalat the atmospheric aerosol, rain water, sediments and other samples are being collected monthly. The concentrations of major and trace elements in the collected samples were determined by INAA and XRF techniques. These techniques are suitable for analyzing up to 28 elements under our laboratory conditions. The detection of elements in aerosol samples was limited by the presence of these elements in the filter materials. The trace element concentrations in these filters have been determined and the results are also presented in the report. 2 refs, 2 figs, 5 tabs
