Combined method and real-time data base - a new aid to solve automatisation tasks

Description

The requirement trend on process control systems causes an increasing system complexity to fulfil the required tasks. The current manufacture-technology-standard based on multi-microcomputer systems mostly presents signal-oriented systems with fixed functions. Complex automation structures need increasing data bases to meet the requirements; this leads to data-oriented systems. This paper describes a portable data-oriented system constructed by linking a method-base-system for flexible function presentation with a realtime data base for data storing and retrieval. The system is usuable as a monitoring, control and information system. It allows an easy adaption to the specific requirements of a plant. (orig.)

Abstract (German)

Der Anforderungstrend im Feld der Prozessautomatisierungstechnik bewirkt steigende Systemkomplexitaet zur Erfuellung der geforderten Aufgaben. Die gegenwaertige Technologielage fuehrte zu Systemen auf der Basis von Multi-Mikro-Rechnern und zeichnet sich damit im wesentlichen durch signalorientierte Systeme mit festem Funktionsumfang aus. Komplexe Automatisierungsstrukturen enthalten zunehmend grosse Datenbestaende, um die gestellten Anforderungen zu erfuellen. Dies fuehrt zu datenorientierten Systemen. Im Rahmen dieses Beitrages wird ein uebertragbares datenorientiertes System beschrieben, das als Loesungsprinzip die Verknuepfung eines Methodenbanksystems zur flexiblen Funktionsbereitstellung mit einem Prozessdatenbanksystem zur Datenverwaltung enthaelt. Das System ist einsetzbar als Beobachtungs-, Fuehrungs- und Informationssystem fuer Prozessautomatisierungsaufgaben. Es erlaubt eine einfache Anpassung an die spezifischen Anforderungen der jeweiligen Einsatzumgebung. (orig.)
