Formation heat of dysprosium dichloride

Description
E.m.f. of solid-phase galvanic cells: (-)Sr|SrCl2||BaCl2||DyCl2|Dy(+) and (-)Ca|CaCl2||BaCl2||DyCl2|Dy(+) were measured. Experimental data were processed according to the method of the 3d law of thermodynamics, using publication values of thermodynamic characteristics of e.m.f. - forming reaction participants. The value of formation enthalpy was obtained: ΔfH0(DyCl2, cryst., 298.15 K) = 676.4+-2.5 kJ x mol-1
