Description

A remotely-operated Tank Refurbishment System (TRS) has been developed to reduce the personnel hazards associated with manual refurbishment of U.S. Naval vessel tanks. This system is capable of using a variety of tools to complete the necessary refurbishment tasks within the tanks. In 2017, the design for this system was completed, and preliminary testing was successfully completed. (authors)
