Reactions of recoil chlorine-38 with n-butyl chloride mixtures
Description
Reactions of recoil chlorine-38 in binary mixtures of n-butyl chloride with alcohols and aniline are investigated. The organic yields in mixtures with alcohols are shown to arise from hot-zone reactions. In addition, thermal zone reactions also contribute to the yields in mixtures with aniline. Reactivity parameters of the recoil atom in these mixtures are calculated. (author)
