Fission product distribution and release in the high-temperature irradiation experiment JK 3
Description
Automatic translation: The JK 3 irradiation experiment involved the testing of five pressed fuel element spheres at high power (7 to 8 kW/sphere) and high fuel temperature (1400 to 1500°C). 1500°C). Immediately after the start of irradiation, the planned temperatures were considerably exceeded and average values of 1700 to 1900°C were reached /1/. Very high fission gas releases were measured were measured. This led to the premature termination of the irradiation after 37 days.
Abstract (German)
Files
