Damage of metallic foils in glow discharge
Creators
Description
Investigation results of damage with plasma ions of glow discharge of niobium and palladium foils on cathode of a discharge device are presented. The energy of ions constituted 300-1000 eV, the dose rate - 1019-1022 ion/cm2, temperature 600-900 deg C for palladium, 1000-1500 deg C for niobium. On the surface of the foils treated formation of swells is observed, the dimensions and density of them being determined by temperature and dose. Considerable void formation is also observed in near-surface layers
