Thermal shock resistances and fracture toughnesses of SiC and B4C disks at elevated temperature
- 1. Ibaraki Univ., Hitachi (Japan). Faculty of Engineering
Description
Fracture mechanicals properties for thermal shock are determined of five varieties of silicon carbides and a boron carbide at elevated temperature. The measurements are carried out using the disk testing method including the fracture toughness, thermal shock resistance and the thermal shock fracture toughness. The obtained results are discussed on their manufactural conditions of specimens. (author)
