Description
Phase transformations occurring in dilute Al-Zr alloys have been investigated using optical micrography and X-ray diffraction techniques. The alloys are prepared by vacuum evaporation and co-deposition of aluminium and zirconium vapours on a glass substrate. The lattice parameters of the different phases have been determined by the Debye-Scherrer method and the results indicate the formation of some hitherto unreported phases. (author)
