Numerical studies on the stability of plane laminar flows in boundary layers

Description

In analogy to the well-known ORR-SOMMERFELD equation derived from the NAVIER-STOKES equation by the small oscillations method, an extended perturbation differential equation is derived in which the influence of the boundary layer thickness on the stability of plane laminar flows in the boundary layers is considered in the framework of the theory of linear stability. Analog zur Herleitung der bekannten ORR-SOMMERFELD Gleichung aus den NAVIER-STOKES Gleichungen nach der Methode der kleinen Schwingungen wird eine erweiterte Stoerungsdifferentialgleichung hergeleitet, in welcher im Rahmen der Linearen Stabilitaetstheorie der Einfluss der Zunahme der Grenzschichtdicke auf die Stabilitaet ebener laminarer Grenzschichtstroemungen beruecksichtigt wird.
