NGP, Granite-greenstones: isotope studies of Au and Sb mineralization

Creators

Description

This report includes information on the geological, geochemical, mineralogical and Pb, S, C, and O isotope studies of gold, antimony and related mineralization in the Murchison and Barberton greenstone belts. The main aim is to establish, for each of the contrasting types of ore body selected, whether the mineralization is contemporaneous with the host rocks and related to volcano-sedimentary processes, derived from the host rocks and related to volcano-sedimentary processes, but up-graded during later tectono-thermal events, or unrelated to the host rocks and entirely introduced from an external source during a later igneous intrusive and/or metamorphic events
