Excitation of tin and lead atoms by electron impact
Description
Calculation of electron impact excitation cross sections and oscillator strengths have been performed for p2-ps transitions in tin and lead atoms. Results are presented for 11 spectral lines for tin and 8 lines for lead. Cross sections have been calculated in the Born approximation. Atomic wave fnctions in the intermediate coupling scheme are used. The radial wave functions are calculated by a semiempirical method. The calculated oscillator strengths for spectral lines with the largest intensities are near to the experimental ones
