Mechanism of damage of welded joints of collector welding to steam generator bodies of power units of WWER-1000

Description
On the base of results of performed complex investigation of damaged metal of welded joints N111 in steam generators of power units of WWER-1000 was revealed that the nature of damage is similar in 'hot' and 'cold' collectors of ZNPS and SU NPS. Mechanism of corrosion cracking under stresses in welded joints of collectors with steam generator body is examined.
