Noise-proof cophazed piezoelectric detector for detecting acoustic radiation generated by pulse beams of charged particles
- 1. Tomskij Politekhnicheskij Inst., Tomsk (USSR). Inst. Yadernoj Fiziki, Ehlektroniki i Avtomatiki
Description
A detector, designed for detection of acoustic radiation, generated by pulsed charged particle beams in solid targets, is described. The principle of operation is based on differential separation of a useful signal, caused by an acoustic effect, from a cophased electric noise. The operating efficiency of the piezoelectric detector is illustrated by the experimental results. The attenuation coefficient of cophased signals is >100dB
