Metallography study of structure change of surface layers of tungsten monocrystals after turning

Description

Studies of the value and character of location of defective layer of tungsten monocrystals after machining turning - are carried out. Metallographical and X-ray structural analyses as well as fractographical studies using raster electron microscope for plan and during layer-by-layer etching have shown that the structure of surface layers of tungsten monocrystals after machining has a complex character. The character of distribution of macro- and microcracks of the surface layer of tungsten monocrystals as well as regularity of dislocation distribution during layer-by-layer etching are clarified. The depth of location of defective layer depending on machining regimes is evaluated and is conditionally divided into some regions-zones
