Creation of geological repository for high level long-lived radioactive waste in Ukraine is discussed.Considerations of developing countries experience which concern of geological repositories creation is given.General criteria of geological repositories site selection are presented.Geological formations to be considered as suitable for geological repository in Ukraine,their advantages and disadvantages are described
