Laser radiation effect on the 4.-5. group transition metal nitrides
Description
The results are presented of investigations into the erosion resistance of nitrides of metals of groups 4-5 under the effect of laser radiation. The nature of the changes in the erosion resistance of nitrides depending on the porosity, grain size, and nitrogen content has been established. It was found that hafnium and niobium nitrides have the highest erosion resistance. The erosion resistance depends on the total contribution of Me-Me and Me-N interactions into the total interatomic bond of the nitrides
