Present trends and future directions in ''leukocyte labeling''

  • 1. Upstate Medical Center, SUNY, Syracuse, NY

Description

The authors of this paper attempt to summarize recent progress in the techniques of harvesting and labeling leukocytes in order to study the in vivo migratory patterns of the different leukocyte populations and subtypes in health and disease, an area of study particularly useful in the field of immunology. They conclude by suggesting possible directions for future research, especially in the development of labeled ligands for specific cell surface receptors
