Elastic contants of FeNi alloys, invar propereties and premartensitic phenomena
Description
Phonon dispersion curves have been plotted for Fe57Ni43, Fe68Ni32 and Fe70.5Ni29.5 single crystals with the help of method of inelastic choherent neutron diffraction. From the slopes of initial portions of curves obtained in symmetrical directions appropriate elastic constants have been determined. On the basis of investigation results and available data of neutron and ultrasonic easurements concentration dependences of elastic constants of the first and zero sounds have been constructed. Relationships of some elastic constants to invar properties and pre-transition phenomena in FeNi alloys are under consideration. 30 refs., 5 figs
