Pulse low-energy electron beam sources based on the explosive-emission liquid-metal cathodes
- 1. AN SSSR, Tomsk (Russian Federation). Inst. Sil'notochnoj Ehlektroniki
Description
Pulse electron source with liquid-metal cathode, operating under conditions of explosive electron emission is described. The range of operation voltage of the source 10-40 kV. Cathode operation frequency is equal to 1500 Hz maximum. The source can be used both as point emitter in different electro-vacuum devices and as an element of multi-emitter source with large square of electron beam cross section. 14 refs., 7 figs
