Nuclear power plant

Purpose: To significantly reduce irradiation exposure dose from the viewpoint of facilities layout. Constitution: Facilities in a nuclear power plant are separated into two groups: (1) radioactivity-producing or influenced facilities and (2) other facilities. The facilities in each group are collectively disposed in independent buildings or in separate chambers, which are separated by shielding partitions. Since the radioactivity-producing or influenced facilities are separated from other facilities, irradiation exposure dose can significantly be reduced and the countermeasures upon emergency can be taken more rapidly.
