Chemical effects in the close-in area

Description
All underground structures of the mine built to serve as a repository in the salt are meant by close-in area. The chemical effects can be divided into four groups, which affect the container life expectancies, the mobilization of the radionuclides from the matrix, retention of the radionuclides and the reactions in the salt environment. The relevance of the individual radionuclides and the chemical effects on the nuclides are explained, as well as radiation effects in the salt rock. (DG)

Unter Nahbereich werden alle bergmaennisch im Salz errichteten Teile des Endlagers verstanden. Die chemischen Effekte lassen sich in vier Bereiche aufteilen, die die Behaelterstandzeiten, die Mobilisierung der Radionuklide aus der Matrix, die Rueckhaltung der Radionuklide und die Umsetzungen am Salz umfassen. Angaben zur Relevanz der einzelnen Radionuklide und zu den Auswirkungen der chemischen Effekte auf die Nuklide werden gemacht, wobei auch auf Strahleneffekte im Salzgestein eingegangen wird.
