Anatomical and pharmacological comparisons between dopamine D-1 and D-2 receptors in the central nervous system
Description
Quantitative receptor autoradiography was used to study dopamine D-1 and D-2 receptor subtypes in the central nervous system of several mammals including rats, cats, and monkeys. [3H]-SCH 23390 and [3H]-spiroperidol were used to label the D-1 and D-2 receptors, respectively. Equilibrium binding assays specific for the D-1 and D-2 receptors were characterized using kinetic, saturation, and competition data, along with Scatchard and Hill plots
