The strategy for management of high-level radioactive waste (HLRW) at Gremiha, a former Navy base. • The inventory of radioactive waste accumulated at Gremikha, including HLRW. • Description of reactor control rods CPS as HLRW. • Description of spent reactor cores of Alfa-class submarines as HLRW. • Strategy of HLRW management at Gremikha and its relocation to the Regional Centre for RW conditioning and storage. The use of storage casks type TUK 143 and casks type TUK 108.
