Description
This paper discusses the provisions for maintainability and replacement which have been incorporated into the CANDU 300. Plant layout, building layouts, zoning, maintenance building design, and in-service inspection plans are described. Process system maintainability and equipment removal paths are described. Replacement of components other than fuel channels and steam generators can generally be accommodated within a routine outage. The 232 fuel channels can be replaced in 92 days
