Eco information 5. Influence of operation of the plants SE-EBO and SE-VYZ on the environment within May 2005

In this leaflet the results of monitoring of chemical gaseous and liquid effluents into the rivers Vah and Dudvah as well as of radiation monitoring of Bohunice V-1 and V-2 NPPs as well as of Bohunice Radioactive Waste Processing Centre (VYZ) are presented. The radioactive effluents within a May 2005 (for NPP V-1, NPP V-2, and VYZ, respectively) were: 0.623 TBq and 0.740 TBq of rare gases, 34.513 MBq, 3.080 MBq and 1.012 MBq of aero-soles, 7.355 MBq and 0.075 MBq of iodine, 5.117 MBq, 3.684 MBq and 5.925 MBq of corrosive and fission products, and 498.979 GBq, 1863.272 GBq and 145.371 GBq of tritium. For the period January - May 2005 these radioactive effluents represent for rare gases 3.026 TBq for NPP V-1 and 3.746 TBq for NPP V-2 (6.772 TBq (0.169% of annually limit (AL) for the locality Bohunice)), for aerosols 146.692 MBq for NPP V-1, 4.618 MBq for NPP V-2 and 6,556 MBq for VYZ (127.866 MBq (0.080% of AL for the locality Bohunice)), for corrosive and fission products 21.593 MBq for NPP V-1, 13.111 MBq for NPP V-2 and 29,376 MBq for VYZ (64.080 MBq (0.169% of AL) for the locality Bohunice)), and for iodine 63.769 MBq for NPP V-1, and 0.348 MBq for NPP V-2 (64.117 MBq (0.049% of AL) for the locality Bohunice)), and for tritium it is 3.307 TBq for NPP V-1, 4.157 TBq for NPP V-2 and 542,875 GBq (8.007 TBq (18.322% of AL) for the locality Bohunice)
