Instructions for operating the RB reactor

Description

This report includes procedures and instructions for operation of the RB reactor. The first chapter describes the reactor control system (measuring channels); safety system and operating system including heavy water circulation system, safety rods and control rod, and neutron source. Second chapter deals with detailed preparation procedure for reactor operation, including calibration of measuring channels, testing the safety system, control of the system as a whole. Procedures related to operation include preparatory and operating procedures, as follows: filling the reactor tank with heavy water, lifting the safety rods SS1 and SS2, lifting the control rod, approaching criticality; maintaining the preset operating regime, reactor shutdown. Special procedures related to reactor operation are: exchange of the reactor lattice, setup of the horizontal experimental channel, preparing the reactor for longer or shorter shutdown period; handling the crane
