Luminescent properties of Ca I2:Tl I scintillator
Description
Luminescent properties of Ca I2:Tl I scintillators grown by the Stockbarger method are investigated. We suppose that the radiation bands of Ca I2:Tl I crystal with the maxima at 345, 395, and 510 nm are not directly connected with Tl+ impurity. Activator's bands obtained in the excitation spectra of luminescence with the maximum at 510 nm at the temperature 90 K can be associated with intra center transitions in Tl+ ions. The nature of lighting centers is discussed
