Description
The study describes release kinetics of piroxicam as model drug from developed two different low methylated-pectins and concentrate of lactoglobulin in condition mimicking gastrointestinal tract. It is shows that the drug release tailored from low methylated-sunflower pectin exhibit zero order kinetics in the condition of intestinal. The results demonstrate effectiveness of microcapsules system as sustained delivery system able to prolong drug release, which may reduce drug dose and its side effect. (author)
