Description
The geometrical structure and vibrational frequences of Re2F8 molecules are determined by the electron diffraction method in combination with mass spectrometric control of the vapour composition. Molecular structure is described by the eclipsed conformation with inhibited revolution around Re=Re bond. The value of internal rotation barrier during the transition to the straggered conformation constitutes 2.8 +- 30 k J/mol
